213. Mahidpur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Ujjain (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Mahidpur falls in Ujjain district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,93,813 voters in the seat, which includes 99,873 male voters, and 93,926 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Mahidpur recorded a voter turnout of 80.83%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.11%, and in 2008 it was 72.74%.
In 2013, Bhadursingh Chouhan of BJP won the seat by a margin of 20,634 votes (15%). Bhadursingh Chouhan secured 51.68% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 1,849 votes (1.72%), registering 45.07% of the total votes polled.
