Karunakaran critical, shifted to ventilator

Thiruvananthapuram: Condition of ailing Congress leader K Karunakaran turned critical on Wednesday and was shifted to ventilator, according to hosptial sources.

The 93-year old Karunakaran was admitted to hospital on December 10 following severe breathing problem.

Though his condition was critical in the initial days, he showed imrovement last week.

Opposition leader Oommen Chandy visited Karunakaran at the hosptial on Wednesday, sources said.
