28. Hrangturzo is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Hrangturzo falls in Serchhip district and North region of Mizoram. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 15,507 voters in the seat, which includes 7,697 male voters, and 7,810 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, Hrangturzo recorded a voter turnout of 81.69%. In 2013 the turnout was 82.76%, and in 2008 it was 84.4%.
In 2013, Lal Thanhawla of INC won the seat by a margin of 1,628 votes (13.29%). Lal Thanhawla secured 42.21% of the total votes polled.
MPC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 452 votes (3.86%), registering 37.8% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, INC led in the Hrangturzo Assembly segment of the Mizoram Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
