29. Guna is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Guna Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Guna falls in Guna district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.

There are a total of 2,08,308 voters in the seat, which includes 1,09,510 male voters, and 98,789 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Guna recorded a voter turnout of 68.67%. In 2013 the turnout was 68.29%, and in 2008 it was 62.05%.

In 2013, Pannalal Shakya of BJP won the seat by a margin of 45,111 votes (34.45%). Pannalal Shakya secured 62.2% of the total votes polled.

BJSH won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,934 votes (15.96%), registering 36.45% of the total votes polled.
