2. Dampa is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Dampa falls in Mamit district and North region of Mizoram. It is categorized as a rural seat.
There are a total of 18,239 voters in the seat, which includes 9,375 male voters, and 8,864 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, Dampa recorded a voter turnout of 83.55%. In 2013 the turnout was 88.02%, and in 2008 it was 87%.
In 2013, Lalrobiaka of INC won the seat by a margin of 1,161 votes (8.14%). Lalrobiaka secured 43.27% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 680 votes (5.59%), registering 41.12% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, INC led in the Dampa Assembly segment of the Mizoram Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
