The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s West Bengal unit president Dilip Ghosh is hiring interns to work at his office ahead of the crucial Assembly election. Those working for the Lok Sabha MP from Kharagpur will have a shift of seven hours (11am to 6pm). Interested candidates must have an interest in social media outreach, campaign ideas, graphic designing, communication, research and legal issues. The paid internship will allow the candidates to work from home or from the MP’s office.
Those having knowledge of Bengali will be preferred for the job, but others may also apply. “We want to give youngsters a chance and train them to be good professionals. Hence, we are giving them this platform,” Ghosh told CNN News18
“People have already started sending their CVs. Let’s see how it goes”, the firebrand BJP leader added.
The upcoming Assembly election in Bengal is expected to be a very keenly fought one both the BJP and the ruling Trinamool Congress engaged in massive counter campaigns, including on social media. Coming up with new ideas is a constant focus for both camps.
