14. Banswada is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Zahirabad Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Banswada falls in Nizamabad district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,53,043 voters in the seat, which includes 74,525 male voters, and 78,502 female voters. In the 2018 Telangana elections, Banswada recorded a voter turnout of 83.78%. In 2014 the turnout was 76.97%.
In 2014, Srinivas Reddy Parige of TRS won the seat by a margin of 23,930 (17.32%). Srinivas Reddy Parige secured 47.68% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, TRS led in the Banswada Assembly segment of the Zahirabad Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
