52. Arang is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Raipur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Arang falls in Raipur district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 2,01,900 voters in the seat, which includes 1,02,096 male voters, and 99,797 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Arang recorded a voter turnout of 76.8%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.75%, and in 2008 it was 66.98%.
In 2013, Naveen Markandey of BJP won the seat by a margin of 13,774 votes (10.05%). Naveen Markandey secured 43.09% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 1,337 votes (1.23%), registering 31.79% of the total votes polled.
