Action will be taken against MNS for vandalising toll booths: Ajit Pawar
Pawar has also assured to take action against MNS for retorting to violence at toll collection centres.

Pune: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has come out in strong opposition of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for vandalism at toll booths across the state.

Pawar has also assured to take action against MNS for retorting to violence at toll collection centres.

"The vandalism will not be tolerated. We will take action," he said on Monday.

This comes even as four activists of the right wing organisation were arrested this evening for creating ruckus at the Vashi toll booth and defacing it. Two FIRs have also been registered at Navghar and Dahisar.

This row of violence comes after MNS supremo Raj Thackeray asked his party workers not to pay fee at the toll plazas even if it required resorting to violence.

Toll booths across the state including Aurangabad, Beed, Pune (rural), Nashik, Thane, Airoli and Nagpur were targeted by the zealous workers of MNS.

MNS workers were arrested after they clashed with policemen at Dahisar.

Thackeray during the inauguration of MNS office in Vashi announced, "I am instructing all MNS workers, colleagues and people not to pay toll at any toll booth in Maharashtra from now on.If someone opposes you, fight them," Thackeray said.
