Rahul Gandhi has been known to take the nation by surprise from time to time.

Rahul Gandhi has been known to take the nation by surprise from time to time. Sometimes by taking an impromptu 'vacation'; at other times by answering every question with 'women empowerment', he continues to make us all wonder just what exactly is his brain made up of.

Today, again, the vice president of the Indian National Congress Party caught us all off guard.

Rahul Gandhi led the opposition attack in the Lok Sabha on the government over the problems being faced by farmers, saying that the Modi government has "failed" them.

Maybe it is the low expectations, or maybe it is just that we saw him in action after a lot of time today, but Rahul Gandhi was definitely on fire. During his speech at the Lok Sabha, he repeatedly bashed and taunted BJP.

For starters, he made fun of BJP's much used catchphrase from the time of Lok Sabha Elections

The 'Achhe Din' government. That is their name; I am taking your permission before using it. The 'Achhe Din' government has failed the country.

He made sure that he pointed his fingers at the whole 'Modi Suit' fiasco...

Aapki jo sarkar hai, wo udyogpatiyon ki sarkar hai, bade logo ki sar kar hai, suit-boot ki sarkar hai.

... And then he took it back. But the damage was already done

Woh suit wala maamla khatam ho gaya, aapne usko auction kar diya. Ab hum uspe nahin bolenge. Khush?

He also quoted MS Swaminathan, Father of the Green Revolution in India

Future belongs to nations who have grains, not guns

His pertinent point being, the government is a rich man's government

You know as well as I do, that the current Govt is a Govt that works for industrialists.

Aap bahot badi galti kar rahe ho. Aap kisaano ko chott pahucha rahe ho woh aapko chott pohochaenge

He continued with his well placed barbs even after the session

Bhaashan aacha tha par jawaab nahi mile

Throughout the session, every attack made by Rahul Gandhi was backed by a loud wave of cheers and fist-thumping by all the MPs in the opposition. Looks like Rahul Gandhi is back with a bang.

What's your reaction?
