Players RCB Are Likely to Release: Yet another IPL season has been consigned to history but Royal Challengers Bangalore’s hunt for a first ever title continues. A traditionally star-studded side like RCB not winning an IPL title remains a mystery.
However, the think-tank at RCB has already started taking steps to get them the trophy this time around with changes starting at the backroom staff. They have parted ways with Mike Hesson and appointed Mo Bopat as their Director of Cricket.

They will have a new head coach in Andy Flower too who replaces Sanjay Bangar. While their eyes will be fixated on three of their biggest batting stars Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell to continue delivering, the major focus will be on how to get the best out from the other stars.
RCB will be aiming to create some pace to get players who they think can fit into the setup and get them the title this time around.
It’s likely that 38-year-old wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik may be released by the deadline day. Karthik is past his prime and the franchise could be looking to invest elsewhere keeping the future in mind as well.

RCB failed to qualify for the playoffs earlier this year after losing to Gujarat Titans in a must-win clash. They won seven matches and lost as many despite the roaring performances from Du Plessis and Kohli.
Their bowling attack comprising Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga wasn’t at its best but they may not trigger wholesale changes to that. However, they might have a relook at injury prone Reece Topley though.

Additionally, skipper Du Plessis is touching 40 while Kohli and Maxwell are into the mid-thirties as well. Their top performers are ageing and RCB will want to start building a team for the future.
