Yash-starrer Toxic’s Release Postponed? What We Know

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of rocking star Yash’s upcoming project, Toxic. Since the announcement of the project, the rumour mill has been rife with reports surrounding its release and the rest of the cast, which could include several leading ladies. According to earlier reports, the makers have postponed the official release date of the project. Toxic may not arrive at its scheduled date, which was recently announced to be on April 10, 2025. Going by reports, the makers plan to make the release a grand affair, as it is one of the highest-budgeted films in making. It is reportedly set to feature actresses like Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan and Huma Qureshi. As per a source, with such an ensemble cast the makers want to align their dates and bring them together for the shoot. The decision has caused the schedules to stretch further, leading to a delay, keeping in mind the earlier plans. The project’s filming started early last month. The makers have created humongous sets in Bangalore, where a major sequence was scheduled to be shot, bringing the entire cast together, reports state.

Toxic is being helmed by Geethu Mohandas, who is also credited as the writer. It stars Yash and Nayanthara in prominent roles, the latter reportedly playing the role of his sister. The cast also includes Akshay Oberoi and Huma Qureshi, who is roped for the role of antagonist. It is being produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash, under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations banners. The music is being done by Charan Raj.

Yash rose to global fame with his portrayal of Rocky Bhai in the mega-blockbuster KGF franchise. It is directed as well as written by Prashanth Neel while Vijay Kiragandur has produced the film under the banner of Hombale Films. The cast includes Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Vasishta N Simha, Ramachandra Raju, Archana Jois, Anant Nag and Achyuth Kumar. The music in the film is done by Ravi Basrur. Bhuvan Gowda has done the cinematography while the editor is Srikanth Gowda.
