Vyshak's Next, Turbo, Starring Mammootty, Gets A Release Date

Malayalam actor Mammootty is on a roll in his filmography and started this year with his banger performance in the horror flick Bramayugam. The actor has signed various groundbreaking roles with each role generating more anticipation than the previous one.

Now, the actor is all set to hit the big screen with his latest commercial film Turbo, directed by Vyshak. On the occasion of Vishu festivities, the makers have announced that the action comedy will hit the theatres on June 13, 2024. Along with the official release date, the makers have also released two new pictures of the actor from the film. First, the makers released a film poster where he is seen sitting on a jeep in a white shirt and white dhoti, looking menacing and domineering. Also, the makers have shared another look from the film today which also has the caption, “Turbo Jose Arriving on June 13, 2024” and reveals the character’s name.

Turbo is the new action comedy directed by Vyshak, who is teaming up with Mammootty for the third time after the two have previously made hits like Pokkiri Raja and its sequel Madhura Raja. The new film has been written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and the music is by Christo Xavier.

The film will also feature actors Sunil and Raj B Shetty in their Malayalam debut, along with Anjana Jayaprakash, Kabir Duhan Singh, Johny Antony, Alexander Prasanth and many others playing key roles.

Mammootty was last seen in the lead role in the Malayalam film Bramayugam this year. The horror film starring the megastar in the lead role has been directed by Rahul Sadasivan, with actors Sidharth Bharathan and Arjun Ashokan also playing important roles.

The film is based on elements of Kerala folklore, along with the mythical creatures and sacred mysteries embedded in the culture of the region. The film also dared to experiment by being shot in black and white and became a huge hit on the big screens.

The actor will next be seen playing the lead role in the stylish action thriller Bazooka, written and directed by Deeno Dennis in his debut. The film also stars actors Gautham Vasudev Menon, Babu Antony, Gayathri Iyer, Neeta Pillai and many others in key roles.
