Back in September 2023, Janhvi Kapoor completed shooting for her highly anticipated political thriller Ulajh. She stars in the film, alongside Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew, directed by Sudhanshu Saria. In the film, Janhvi portrays an IFS officer entangled in a conspiracy abroad, despite her patriotic lineage. The teaser of the film is out now.
In the teaser, Janhvi appears to be delving into a matter concerning a technology tie-up for green hydrogen production using a hydrogen electrolyzer by a company in Nashik. The teaser shows her risking her life and getting mired in the issue, while Gulshan Devaiah’s monologue on loyalty and betrayal for the nation plays in the background. Check it out here:

Earlier, Janhvi had opened up on her role in the film. In a statement, she had said, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story, have so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which are challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre.”
