You’ve probably heard the popular track ‘Kaun Mera’ multiple times over by now. But even though the soulful song from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Special 26’ has already wowed music connoisseurs, there is something which is absolutely amazing about its new acoustic version.
The feel of the new track is as romantic as the original song. But singer Ritika Parmeshwar has been successful at doing an incredible job in belting out the most soothing and pleasing version of ‘Kaun Mera’. And the fact that she has already been appreciated for her efforts by Charitra, the singer of the original song, it is indeed a track that would leave an indelible impact on your mind.
“We have got an overwhelming response from people. Right from the day it was released on Youtube, it has been shared massively on social media. Considering the reach it has had on social media, it has struck a chord with the audiences. I’m happy that the original song’s singer Charitra too appreciated my efforts," she said.
As Ritika said, the song Kaun Mera is a collective effort. “Ägreed, I have sung the song, but Amarnath has been an integral part of the song’s success."
On being asked about the video’s purpose, Kritika says, “I took up this song because I personally love it. And I also prefer Bollywood romantic genre of music over others. I felt it would be great if I could listen to the song in my voice and my interpretation."
