Before enchanting us with magic in Beauty and The Beast, Emma Watson is all set to bring us some dystopian reality with The Circle. The trailer of the film was released recently and boy, was it compelling!
Starring Hollywood biggies like Tom Hanks and Watson, the film is set in a slick, social media-dominated future in which everyone is connected, and nothing is private. It is based on the 2013 Dave Eggers novel by the same name. In the trailer, Emma Watson plays Mae Holland, a young woman who goes to work for a big technology company, The Circle.
Hanks plays the CEO and founder of the company, promising a future of total transparency. The treatment and concept of the film will remind you of tech dystopia series Black Mirror.
Directed by James Ponsoldt, the film is set to release on April 28,2017
