Newlywed Taapsee Pannu recently proved that she is her husband Mathia Boe’s biggest cheerleader. The badminton coach was recently recognised for his contribution by a sports equipment company. Taapsee has now shared the post on her Instagram handle and praised him.
The actress wrote, ‘Such a star YOU are. Spreading light around, #proud.’ The post read, “Shining a spotlight on every player’s special ability creates a greater illumination of the beauty of this sport. That’s the best part of being a coach.”
Earlier last month, Taapsee secretly tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, badminton player Mathias Boe. Recently, when the actress arrived at a wedding party without him, paparazzi couldn’t stop themselves from asking about her better half.
In a video shared by Bollywood paparazzo Viral Bhayani on his Instagram account, Taapsee can be heard engaging in a fun banter with the paps, who repeatedly ask her about her husband. “Taapseeji, sir nahi aaye? Sir kahan hai?” Paps screamed. “Tum mujhe marwaaoge ek din…” says a smiling Taapsee before saying bye to the paps. The actress looked stunning in a red and gold saree. She styled her hair in a bun with white gajra around it.
In a recent interview with HT City, Taapsee confirmed her wedding with Mathias and said that she wanted it to be a “private affair”. “I just am not very sure if I want to let my personal life and the people involved in it, to go through the kind of scrutiny that happens when a public figure gets married. It’s me who has signed up for this, not my partner, not the people who were involved in the wedding. I am not sure about how I feel about it being out there, that’s why I’ve kept it to myself,” the actress said.
However, Taapsee was quick to clarify that the “intention was never to keep it (the wedding) a secret”. She added, “The people who are genuinely close to me, were a part of the celebration and always knew about my relationship and my intentions about when and how I want to get married.”

Taapsee Pannu and Danish badminton coach Mathias Boe met at the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013. Love blossomed between the two, and soon the families met. While Taapsee largely managed to keep details about her love life under wraps, she once stated in an interview that they began chatting on X (formerly Twitter) and then proceeded to meet one another.
