Sumbul Touqeer's Dad Sends Legal Notice to Trolls for 'Destroying' His Family's Image: 'Truth Always...'

Sumbul Touqeer Khan, who became a household name after her role in Star Plus’ popular TV show ‘Imlie’, is often subjected to online trolling. This time, her father, Touqeer Hasan Khan, was attacked by a section of the internet which allegedly dug out an old case registered against him in which he has already been acquitted by a trial court.

Touqeer took to his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, and informed that a case has been registered via his lawyer against online trolls who shared the posts about him and his family to “destroy” their “well build image”.

Hasan shared a screenshot of the complaint copy which mentioned how various defamatory comments were made on him and his family to “defame, malign the name of my client and his daughter publicly.”

Sharing the copy on X, Hasan wrote, “Any/ all the defamatory posts published or circulated against myself and our family will be dealt with strictly and in accordance with the law. Cases are registered, and notice is on its way. Truth always prevails with patience & belief (sic).”

Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s father was also part of a few episodes of Bigg Boss 16. He had come to support her daughter during the ‘family week’ on the show. He got married again recently. Sumbul’s stepmother, Nilofer, has a daughter named Izra, from her first marriage. Hasan and Nilofer got married in a nikah ceremony on June 15 2023.

Talking about Sumbul Touqeer, on the work front, she appeared in shows like ‘Imlie’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’. She was one of the strongest contestants on Bigg Boss 16. However, her equation with Shaleen Bhanot was questioned by many inside the house. Following which, the two stopped talking to each other. She is currently seen in ‘Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon’ where she plays the role of an IPS officer opposite Mishkat Verma.
