Sobhita Dhulipala is likely to star in Ranveer Singh’s Don 3. If a recent report is to be believed, the actress, who recently got engaged to Naga Chaitanya, has been approached for an item song in the third part of the superhit franchise. Reportedly, she is currently in talks with Farhan Akhtar and has held several meetings with the filmmaker.
“Sobhita who has left the audience impressed with her versatility is now planning to do something that she has not done before and it looks like Don 3 is the answer for her. Going by her oomph and persona she will play the perfect attraction in the film. We have learnt Farhan Akhtar has approached Sobhita to do an item song in the film as he is very much convinced she will ace it like no other actress,” a source cited by Zee News claimed.
While the talks are currently underway, Sobhita has not yet signed her appearance in Don 3 as of now. “The talks are on and we haven’t learnt about the conclusion, but Sobhita has had a few meetings with Farhan and the team,” the report added.
What Do We Know About Don 3?
Don 3 is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films. Last year, Farhan Akhtar shocked everyone after he dropped a teaser of the film and confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be the new Don. The announcement left many disappointed with netizens urging the filmmaker to bring back SRK.
Later in an interview with BBC Asian Network, Farhan broke his silence on the backlash he received for replacing SRK in Don 3. “I’m just really looking forward to get it going. I mean Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous, about the thing you’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?.’ That whole thing happened then,” he said.
Besides Ranveer, Kiara Advani will also be a part of Don 3. The film will hit theatres in 2025.
