Shah Rukh Khan Performs Farah Khan's Kanyadan, Gives Her A Warm Hug In Throwback Video | Watch

Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have been close friends for a few decades now. They have been each other’s support throughout their film careers. In fact, Shah Rukh even performed Farah’s kanyadan when she married Shirish Kunder.

An old video of Shah Rukh performing Farah’s kanyadan has gone viral on Reddit. Shah Rukh and Farah also gave each other a warm hug and were joined by Gauri Khan for the special occasion. Watch the video here:

Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s friendship has been so strong that Shah Rukh was the first person outside Farah’s family to know that she was expecting triplets. In an interview for Nova IVF Fertility’s YouTube channel, Farah Khan recalled conceiving while filming Om Shanti Om and how Shah Rukh Khan comforted her in her times of duress.

“For the first five-six months, there were only lows, because they were retrieving eggs and planting them, and I don’t know how many times I must have gone under general anaesthesia. The first time I went to the doctor I was so sure that I was pregnant, but I literally got my period in her office. So I used to be sobbing all the way back to the shoot,” Farah said.

She added, “One day, in the middle of the day, I got a call from the doctor, and she said it’s not happened this time. We were shooting a comic scene, and Shah Rukh knew something was wrong, because I was going to cry. So, he called for a break and took me into his van, where I’ve sobbed for one hour.” Farah said that when she was finally able to conceive, Shah Rukh was the second person she gave this news to, the first being her mother.

Recently, when Farah’s mother passed away, Gauri Khan and he arrived at Farah’s house to pay his last respects to her mother, Menaka Irani. SRK and Farah’s friendship dates back to 1994 when they worked together on Kundan Shah’s ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. Farah and Shah Rukh went on to not only become great friends but also collaborated on many movies. He also starred in her directorial debut film, Main Hoon Na, followed by Om Shanti Om.
