Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan will soon be seen in Sarfira and the makers released the film’s trailer today. The film is the Hindi remake of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, which is said to be the biopic of G. R. Gopinath, the founder of the Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan.
The film takes us through the life of a common man as he navigates the business world by starting a low-cost aviation company. As per the trailer, the film will be a story of a common man’s determination against monetary and societal barriers. Akshay Kumar says in the trailer, “Main aam aadmi ke liye cost nahi, caste barrier bhi todna chahta hoon."

A few days ago, a video leaked online showing Akshay and Radhika shooting a dance sequence. In the leaked footage, Akshay Kumar can be seen on a terrace with Radhika Madan and two other people. Soon, they all break into a dance sequence on the terrace. Akshay Kumar’s film will be released on July 12.
The film’s first poster was also dropped last week. The original 2020 Tamil drama film was directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. The story was conceptualised and written by Kongara. The film starred Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal, with Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas amongst others in supporting roles.
Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Welcome To The Jungle. With Sanjay Dutt out of the picture, the cast now includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, and Sayaji Shinde, with the recent additions of Jackie Shroff and Aftab Shivdasani.
