Salman Khan said men today do not want to be men anymore. The superstar joined the acclaimed writer duo Salim-Javed, formally known as Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar at the launch of Angry Young Men. The actor was speaking about the duo’s films when he shared his insights about the present generation. He declared that men don’t want to be men anymore whereas, Salim and Javed were, are, and will always be men.
“A lot of writers, write. Salim-Javed thought, they put their life experiences, what they’ve learned from people around them, what they’ve seen, what their parents have taught them, and the way their children have grown up. They have taken from life and put it on cinema. The rest of the writers take from cinema and put it back in cinema,” Salman Khan said at the trailer launch.
“God makes men, they don’t want to be men anymore. He makes a lot of men. But this generation, they don’t want to be men. These two here, my father and Javed Sahab, they are men, they are still men and they want to be men,” he added, which led to a strong reaction from Javed Akhtar. The writer punched his fist in the air with joy. Watch the video below:
