Her parents didn’t actually want Anra to act in films. They had no problem with her working in advertisements, but since films take a lot of time, they were a bit hesitant.
Anra was allowed to act in Hera Pheri because the film was shot during summer vacations, but after this film, her parents did not let her act in any other film. Besides Hera Pheri and Avvai Shanmugi, Anra acted in two more films: Thaayin Manikodi (Tamil) with Tabu and Mithun Chakraborty’s Hathyara (Hindi) in a cameo role.
Anra has no plans to return to the acting industry. Sometimes she gets calls for commercials that she does but she feels that she was better as an actress as a child and does not want to put in the effort to come back.
