Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt recently visited India to attend the Indian Film Project (IFP) in Mumbai where he was one of the key speakers. Several pictures and videos featuring him at the event alongside actors like Naseeruddin Shah are making rounds on the internet. After the event, Rajkummar Rao and his wife-actress Patralekhaa hosted a party for him, attended by Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu and Abhishek Banerjee.
In a joint post on Instagram, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa can be seen posing with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The actor duo sported comfy clothes, exuding style in their tees and shirts. Patralekhaa gave a formal touch to her ensemble, looking pretty in a white crisp shirt and jeans. The caption of the picture read, “It was truly wonderful meeting you and getting to know you Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Keep doing such inspiring work my friend (sic).”
Soha Ali Khan also dropped a bunch of pictures from what appeared to be a fun gathering. The album opens with a group image featuring Soha with her husband Kunal Kemmu, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa along with other friends posing with the guest of the night – Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Captioning the carousel, she wrote, “An evening of fun, food, friendship and cultural exchange where we ended up realising we have so much more in common than we thought .. thank you patralekhaa and rajkummar rao for being the best hosts and just the loveliest people.. it was an absolute pleasure meeting you guys and hope to see you again soon!”
On October 12, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was also involved in an interesting session with Rajkummar Rao at the same event. The duo tried some desi moves on Stree 2’s Aayi Nai and Chogada Tara from Loveyatri. During the conversation, Joseph reflected on his love for Indian cinema, praising Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, comparing it to a Martin Scorsese film.
He said, “I absolutely loved watching Alia Bhatt’s period drama, Gangubai Kathiawadi. It was a truly unique and beautiful film, unlike anything I’ve seen before. The heavy, distinguished drama felt almost like a Scorsese film at times, but then there were these gorgeous musical numbers that were so sincere and well-crafted.”
After entertaining fans with films like Stree 2, Srikanth and Mr And Mrs Mahi, all released this year, Rajkummar Rao is now winning praises for his latest flick Vicky Vidya Ka Who Wala Video.
