Rajinikanth and the team of Vettaiyan enjoyed a grand celebration at the film’s audio launch event in Chennai on September 20. Despite the event’s success, some complications arose regarding the passes. It was reported that several individuals gained access to the launch using counterfeit passes. Rajinikanth addressed this issue during an interview with Sun News.
In response to the fan outrage, Rajinikanth acknowledged the problem and expressed his hope that the organizers would handle it appropriately. He stated, “I am happy that the audio launch went well, but I heard there were some issues with respect to the event passes. I hope the administration sets things straight and ensures it doesn’t happen in future events.”
During the interview, Rajinikanth also spoke about his film Vettaiyan and the success of the song Manasilaayo. He praised music composer Anirudh Ravichander for his work, attributing the song’s popularity to his contributions. Rajinikanth also gave credit to choreographer Dinesh Master for crafting catchy dance steps.
He said, “Dinesh Master’s simple yet catchy steps were very important. Also, credit should be given to the lyric writers Super Subu, Vishnu Edavan, singers Deepthi Suresh, Anirudh, and Yugendran.” Rajinikanth concluded by saying he trusts the audience to judge Vettaiyan fairly once it hits theaters on October 10.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan follows the story of an IPS officer who effortlessly takes down criminals. Alongside Rajinikanth, the film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati in key roles.
Fans’ anticipation for Vettaiyan has steadily increased with each new update. The recently released preview offers a glimpse into what to expect from the film. Viewers can look forward to Rajinikanth’s breathtaking stunts. Alongside him, Amitabh Bachchan adds to the film with his serious character.
This clip indicates that an inquiry commission is being established to investigate extrajudicial killings, also known as police encounters. The commission is headed by Amitabh Bachchan’s character, who is examining the actions of Rajinikanth’s character, a police officer known for justifying encounters. During their exchange, Amitabh questions whether such encounters portray police officers as heroes. In response, Rajinikanth argues that these killings serve not only as punishment but also as a proactive measure to prevent the emergence of criminals.
Following Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is set to begin preparing for his next project, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Upendra in prominent roles.
