Priyanka Chopra Fans ANGRY As British TV Host Calls Her ‘Chianca Chop Free’: 'This Is Disrespectful'

Priyanka Chopra is a global icon and is known for her outstanding work in both Bollywood and Hollywood. However, a British TV host recently mispronounced her name and called her ‘Chianca Chop Free’ instead. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, leaving PeeCee’s fans angry and disappointed.

In March this year, British TV host Andi Peters visited Madame Tussauds in London to talk about the statues there for the show ‘Good Morning Britain’. While anchors Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins were at the studio, Andi was at the museum when he asked about the statue he was standing next to. However, the host struggled to name Priyanka Chopra and instead called her ‘Chianca Chop Free’.

Adil, from the studio, schooled Andi and said, “Honestly, Andi. If you’re going to stand next to somebody at least work out what their name is. That’s Priyanka Chopra, the Indian Bollywood actress who is now a massive star in America.” Following this, the reporter claimed that he knew who she was and that she was married to ‘that one from the Jonas Brothers’.

Soon after a video of the incident surfaced on social media, Priyanka Chopra’s fans reacted to it and expressed disappointment with the TV host. Several of PeeCee’s fans also called it “disrespectful”.

“Is a huge disrespect not only for the pronunciation because anyone can have a mistake, but here was not a mistake, is doing it on purpose,” one of the fans wrote. “This is absolute madness,” added another. “I used to like Andy – not anymore! That was really rude and it’s not that hard to say her name at all!” a third comment read.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka Chopra was most recently seen in the romantic drama Love Again, alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Her next film, the action-comedy Heads of State, stars Idris Elba and John Cena. In addition, she will star in Frank E Flowers’ film, The Bluff. It will also feature Karl Urban.

Besides this, Priyanka Chopra also has a Bollywood film in her pipeline. She will soon be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Lee Zara with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead. While fans are waiting eagerly for this collaboration, the film has been delayed due to reasons that aren’t known.
