South actress Payal Rajput was last seen in the Telugu thriller, Rakshana, which is garnering acclaim from the audience as well as the critics. As per the latest updates on the release, the makers have announced the film’s official OTT platform and debut date. Payal Rajput is seen in the role of a fearless cop in the film, also being called the ‘Lady Singham’, as per the reports. Rakshana is set to have its digital premier on the OTT platform Aha today. The film had its theatrical release on June 7, this year. The official Instagram handle of Aha OTT shared the announcement with a poster, which features Payal Rajput in a daring look. The caption on the post states, “Lady Singam is ready to roar! Payal’s ‘Rakshana’ is coming on aha!! #Rakshana premieres Aug 1st only on aha.”

The story of the film revolves around a young IPS trainee named Kiran, whose life turns upside down when she finds out her friend Priya died by suicide. She refuses to believe that her friend killed herself and tries to convince her seniors of her suspicions, according to which Priya was murdered. So, when no one believes her, she decides to take the matter into her own hands.
Rakshana is made under the direction of Prandeep Thakore, who is also credited as its writer. The cast of the film includes Payal Rajput as the lead, who is sharing the screen with Maanas Nagulapalli, Rajeev Kanakala and Chakrapani Ananda. The film is also backed by Prandeep Thakore, while the music is handled by Mahati Swara Sagar. Anil Bandari worked as the cinematographer and Garry Bh did the editing.
