Pak Singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed Dies in PIA Plane Crash
Before he entered into the world of music, Jamshed worked for the Pakistan Air Force as a civilian contractor and engineer.

New Delhi: The ill-fated Pakistan International Airlines plane (PIA) flight PK-661, which crashed on December 7, 2016, with 47 people on board was also carrying popular Pakistani singer-turned-Islamic preacher Junaid Jamshed. The plane, en route to Islamabad from Chitral crashed near Abbottabad, Pakistani media reported. PK-661 took off at 3:30 pm and went off air control radar soon after its departure.

The singer is popular, courtesy his hit numbers. Before he entered into the world of music, Jamshed worked for the Pakistan Air Force as a civilian contractor and engineer.

According to Dawn.com, Junaid Jamshed was accompanied by his wife Nahya Junaid.

The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that there were no survivors.

If his photographs shared on his official Facebook page are anything to go by, Junaid Jamshed was in Chitral with close friends.
