Actress Nia Sharma has shown her range of acting skills, from being a docile Indian bahu in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai to a sexy mysterious woman in Twisted, where she kissed her co-star Isha Sharma in 2017.
In a recent interview with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, the 30-year-old actress opened up about her experience of kissing a girl on-screen. Nia said that she did Twisted in 2017 at a time when the OTT platform was just beginning to make its place in the country. She further said that the fuss around that time was how she kissed a girl and was portraying a bold role. Twisted was an erotic thriller web series which premiered in 2017, where Nia played the role of a mistress and supermodel, Aliyah Mukerjee and Seema Khanna. Speaking to Siddharth, Nia said that from playing bahu on television serial to portraying a polar opposite role was why people became interested in the series.
Siddharth asked Nia if she felt uncomfortable kissing Isha Sharma in Twisted, to which she replied, “I was." Nia further said that it brought a beautiful fact to light. She said that her mother might have issues with her having a relationship with a guy, but when she was kissing a person of the same sex, Nia realised that kissing a man was more beautiful. "I would any day love kissing a guy more than a girl", said Nia.
In the interview, Nia also described her experience of kissing Ravi Dubey, her co-star from Jamai 2.0. She called Ravi the best kisser and even mentioned how Ravi’s wife Sargun Mehta was very supportive of it all. Nia called her “biggest Bada** wife she has ever seen." Nia told Siddharth that Sargun’s advice to Ravi was to be the best kisser out there.
Nia also revealed that she has someone that she is dating currently, but would like to keep it private.
