After Raman Raghav 2.O, Anurag Kashyap is back with another dark and gritty film. The trailer of Kashyap's much-anticipated film Mukkabaaz is out and like every other Kashyap-film, this one too is a deeply rustic film. The boxing drama stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ravi Kishan in key roles.
In Uttar Pradesh, a low caste boxer Shravan trains at a gym which is owned by an upper caste don Das Mishra. Shravan soon falls in love with Mishra's niece Sunaina and things take an ugly turn as Das doesn't approve of the match. The film revolves around Shravan's struggles to become an unbeatable boxer and win over Das' family.
The 3-minute-long trailer hits a boundary with his impeccable casting and impressive dialogue delivery. Both Jimmy and Ravi are in top form in their respective roles and pack a punch as they bring to screen the vision of Kashyap.
The film, being jointly produced by Aanand L Rai and Kashyap's Phantom Films, is slated for a January 12 release.
