Mouni Roy will be seen essaying the role of an antagonist for the very first time in the much-anticipated film, Brahmastra. The actress, who is all set to play an out-and-out evil person in Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious fantasy trilogy, is excited to share screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
During her recent interaction with BollywoodLife, she expressed her excitement to be a part of the much-awaited fantasy drama. The film’s release has endured multiple postponements for various reasons. Talking about the same, Mouni said that it has been a long wait for the entire team. The actress, who was a part of most of the schedule, said that the film will be best enjoyed in theatres, adding that she is certain that the director Ayan and producer Karan Johar and all the cast and crew members are waiting for the right time to release it.
“I am as eager as everyone else. I am waiting for the release date,” the actress was quoted as saying.
This is the first time Mouni is starring in a film that boasts of such an ensemble cast. Speaking about it, she said that it is just a beautiful experience. Shah Rukh Khan, who is expected to make a special appearance in the film, just takes the excitement to another level. She said she feels grateful to be sharing some screen space with actors of such huge calibre.
Speaking about her co-stars, Ranbir and Alia, Mouni said that the two actors are fire on-screen. She said that the couple is a set of loving human beings, so she considers herself to be very lucky to be a part of the film. “Amitabh Bachchan sir, Nagarjuna sir and Shah Rukh Khan sir are a part of the film so it can’t get bigger than the cast that Brahmastra has,” she signed off.
