Malaika Arora made her first public appearance on Thursday afternoon ever since she skipped Arjun Kapoor’s birthday celebration. In a video that surfaced on social media, the Bollywood diva was seen travelling in her car when she was followed by the shutterbugs. However, the actress ignored the cameras and chose not to respond to them.
This comes a day after Malaika Arora skipped Arjun Kapoor’s birthday which left everyone wondering if the two have broken up. Malaika did not even wish Arjun on Instagram. Instead, she shared a cryptic note which read, “I like people that I can trust with my eyes closed & my back turned.”
Several insider videos from Arjun Kapoor’s birthday bash also went viral on social media but had no sign of Malaika in attendance. While Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor were seen cheering for the birthday boy, Malaika was nowhere to be seen.
Arjun and Malaika’s breakup rumours first made headlines earlier this year after a source informed Pinkvilla that their relationship has “run its course.” “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship,” the source claimed.
“They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time,” it added.
However, Malaika’s manager denied breakup rumours and assured that they were very much together. “No no. All rumours,” the manager told India Today.
