Since its premiere on Colors TV in June 2024, Laughter Chefs has captivated viewers with its side-splitting scenes and hilarious gags. The show features a star-studded lineup, including Aly Goni, Rahul Vaidya, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Kundrra, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Jannat Zubair, Reem Shaikh, Kashmera Shah, Krushna Abhishek, Nia Sharma and Sudesh Lehri. Hosted by comedian Bharti Singh, this unique blend of cooking and comedy has quickly become a hit, emerging as the top non-fiction show of the year. In recent weeks, it has also attracted several celebrities, including Dharmendra and Shraddha Kapoor.
In the latest episode, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, alongside his Khel Khel Mein co-stars Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal, brought an extra dose of entertainment and a laughter riot to the show. While the episode was filled with humorous moments, it was the engaging conversation between Akshay Kumar and host Bharti Singh that truly captivated the viewers.
Akshay Kumar made a smashing entry on the sets of Laughter Chefs and met all the contestants. While hugging the show’s host, Bharti, the star expressed that he was extremely impressed with her weight loss and complimented her for her efforts.
Akshay said, “Main tenu dekh ke bada impress haan. Mai boht impress haan. Ek pura Bharti hi nikal gaya hai. Bohot wadiya. Kar ki rahe ho aaj kal. (I am very impressed looking at you. You have lost a lot of weight. It’s like you’ve shed a whole ‘Bharti’ from you. That’s really amazing. What have you been doing nowadays?)”
To which, Bharti Singh replied, “I don’t know, just normal work. The weight lost after having my baby. Baccha saari charbi leke nikal gaya. Uske baad mai motii hi nahi ho rahi (The child took away all the fat. After his birth, I am not getting fat.) It just happened.”
Later, the two exchanged laughter, and Akshay joked, “No, have another baby. Plan for another one.”
Carrying the joke forward, Bharti said, “Haarsh, get ready. Light the candles. I am coming home soon.”
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein boasts an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, Aditya Seal, and Amy Virk. The film, which was released on August 15, centres around the story of seven friends who gather for dinner and then plan to play an interesting truth game in a room. After surrendering their phones, all their secrets, hidden truths about each other and lies start to unravel.
Akshay Kumar is gearing up to captivate audiences once again with a series of upcoming comic franchises. He will star in the fifth installment of Housefull alongside Riteish Deshmukh and John Abraham. Additionally, Kumar will appear in Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome to the Jungle. The actor also has Singham Again and Jolly LLB 3 in the pipeline.
