Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming web series Citadel: Honey Bunny is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Helmed by director duo Raj and DK, the series has not only fans but also celebrities buzzing with excitement. In proof, Kriti Sanon reshared the trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny on her Instagram stories, showering praise on Varun and Samantha for their role as spy agents.

Accompanying the trailer, Kriti Sanon wrote, “Looking forward to this guys! Veedee killin it. Samantha, you always inspire. And the quirky duo (sic) Raj and DK.”

FYI, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan share a warm friendship. The two have worked together in films such as Bhediya and Dilwale. Earlier in April, Kriti also extended her most heartfelt wishes on Varun’s 37th birthday. The actress posted a collage with him on her Instagram story and added a thoughtful note. Kriti noted, “Happy Birthday VeeDee! I love how our friendship has evolved over the years into this beautiful bond that I know will last forever! Always there for you, feeling proud every time you shine, knowing you’ve got my back like I’ve got yours!”

Coming back to Citadel: Honey Bunny, the series is a highly anticipated spin-off of the American spy-action series Citadel, headlined by Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Set in the 90s, the action-thriller features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan as spy agents named Honey and Bunny respectively. Apart from Varun and Samantha, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Saleem and Kay Kay Menon play key roles in the series.

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon is gearing up for the release of her maiden production film Do Patti on Netflix. Set in a fictional hill station, the film revolves around a police inspector Vidya Jyothi (Kajol) who finds herself amid unsettling events as she tries to solve a murder case involving Saumya and Shailee (both played by Kriti Sanon) and Shailee’s husband, Dhruv Sood (Shaheer Sheikh).

Directed by debut filmmaker Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti will be released on October 25. It is jointly produced by Kanika Dhillon’s Kathha Pictures and Kriti Sanon’s Blue Butterfly Films.
