Juhi Chawla went through a difficult phase when she lost her brother Bobby Chawla in 2014. The CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment, Bobby, suffered a massive stroke and was in coma for nearly four years before he took his last breath. Today marks his birthday and Juhi, being a devoted sister, made sure to remember him on the day with a touching post on Instagram. The post comprised a throwback picture of Juhi with her brother and was accompanied by a short yet heartwarming note.
The note read, “Love you and miss you Bob .. a 1000 trees for you and a big thank you to our friends and loved ones, who after so many years, still remember and message me on your Birthday Renu, Vanessa, Vivek Julian, Sanjay…..”
The post garnered reactions from many including director and choreographer Farah Khan. She wrote, “Bobby was the BEST!!” A friend of theirs also commented on the post saying, “One of their friends wrote, “Miss you Bobby and the good times we had.”

Before Bobby, Juhi Chawla also lost her mother in 1998. Speaking about the same in an interview with Hindustan Times, Juhi recalled the incident that claimed her mother’s life. She shared, “We had reached Prague and it was Karan’s [Johar] birthday the next day, so my mother and I bought a gift for him. Next morning, before I went for the shoot, she left for a walk and never came back. It was very traumatic because just a day before we had reached there and three days later, after she met with an accident, we were bringing her back in a coffin. It was devastating for me.”
Juhi Chawla got married to eminent industrialist Jay Mehta (owner of Mehta Group) in 1995. Later, the duo embraced parenthood, welcoming two kids Jhanvi Mehta and Arjun Mehta into their lives.
As for her professional endeavours, Juhi Chawla is the co-owner of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Besides, she is also the co-owner of Dreamz Unlimited, now called Red Chillies Entertainment. In terms of acting projects, the diva was recently seen in The Railway Men alongside Kay Kay Menon, Ranganathan Madhavan, Divyenndu and Babil Khan. Helmed by Shiv Rawail, the series is available for streaming on Netflix.
