Jacqueline Fernandez opened up about the fire that broke out at her apartment earlier this week. The actress took to her Instagram Stories and confirmed that the fire had broken out in her apartment but everything is okay. She revealed that she was not in the city when the accident took place but her cats were rescued promptly. She thanked everyone who helped in the rescue operations and her fans who expressed their concern over the fire break.
“Thank you for all the concern and love as there was a fire at my apartment building last night. Fortunately, we are all safe and unharmed (even the furry friends),” she said. “Currently, I am in Colombo for the Opening of Legends Cricket Trophy. Thank you to the rescue operations that were carried out swiftly, ensuring that everyone was evacuated to safety. I want to express my gratitude for your concern and love during this time. Your support means everything to me and has always been my strength! God bless,” she added.
As per reports, four fire engines, three jumbo tankers, and one breathing apparatus van were swiftly dispatched to the 17-story high-rise building where the actress stays. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries thus far. According to locals, the fire originated in a kitchen on the 13th floor of the building. Jacqueline Fernandez’s house is reportedly a 5 BHK lavish residence in the building.
“The fire broke out in the residential building situated on Nargis Dutt Road at around 8 PM,” a civic official was quoted as saying by PTI. As per the information given by the caller, the blaze is confined to a room on the 14th floor of the Nawroj Hill Society. Jacqueline Fernandez purchased this opulent new residence in the upscale neighborhood of Pali Hill in Bandra West, Mumbai in 2023.
