Don 3 Movie: Kiara Advani has been roped in as the leading lady for Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Don 3. Kiara has joined Ranveer Singh in the popular film franchise, which will mark the duo’s first collaboration together. There had been rumours about Kiara joining the cast for a while now, but the makers refrained from commenting on the same earlier.
Though details about Kiara’s role in Don 3 are currently under the wraps, it was recently reported that her character would have “negative shades”. The rumours of Kiara’s addition to Don 3 first sparked in August last year when she was spotted at Excel Entertainment co-founder Ritesh Sidhwani’s office.

An insider told Bollywood Hungama, “Director Farhan Akhtar felt that Kiara fit the bill perfectly. Moreover, she has never been paired with lead actor Ranveer Singh before. Kiara, too, is excited to be a part of an exciting action franchise. She is looking forward to playing the stylish part and also collaborating with Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh.”
Interestingly, Kiara Advani will also reportedly be seen in another action-packed film, War 2, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The source added, “Until now, Kiara has proved her worth in romantic, intense and comic roles. With Don 3 and War 2, she’ll make a mark in the action genre and thus, emerge as an all rounder actress.”
Earlier, Ranveer’s casting as the Don was met with a mixed response on the internet. While his fans were elated with the news, a section of Shah Rukh Khan fans were unhappy about Ranveer replacing the Bollywood superstar, who played the Don in the 2006 and 2011 hit action thrillers.
Soon after the announcement of Don 3, Ranveer Singh attended the Red Sea Film Festival, where he spoke about becoming the new Don and said, “I’m hoping to make Don my own and give it my spin, my interpretation.” Ranveer also addressed the criticism that came his way after a section of SRK fans refused to accept him as the new Don.
“It is the handing over of the baton of one of the most loved and revered franchises of Hindi cinema. The significance of that is not lost on me. When the announcement was made, as expected, it came with its share of scepticism. But throughout the history of cinema, this has happened. Even as recently as perhaps when the Bond franchise changed hands and they announced Daniel Craig as the new Bond, it came with its fair share of scepticism. So, this is only natural,” Ranveer told Deadline. Don 3 is slated for a 2025 release.
