One of the netizens expressed frustration with Isha Malviya's comment and wrote, "She doesn't even care."

Isha Malviya left netizens angry and disappointed on Thursday when she talked about the horrifying Kolkata rape and murder case. The actress was snapped by the paparazzi in Mumbai when she expressed shock at the incident but stated that she feels safe in Mumbai.

“I live in Mumbai and I feel safe. I always feel safe while living in Mumbai. But I think that government should take strong action on such incidents. I cannot even imagine what her family must be going through. I hope they get justice soon,” Isha said.

Soon after the video was shared online, netizens reacted to it and schooled Isha for her statement. Many argue that she can feel safe only because she is a celebrity. “If you are not surrounded by camera you will also not feel safe,” one of the users wrote. “Aap celeb hi ma’am aapke saath kuch bhi hoga to turant action liya jaayega …. Mamuli ladkiyo ka to case ho shuru nhi hota to investigation kya hoga,” added another. “Ye celebrity hai, iss ke liye toh safe hoga hi, aaju baaju 4 guards rahega…. Hum jaison ka kya?” a third comment read.

One of the netizens expressed frustration with Isha’s comment and wrote, “She doesn’t even care.” Another user called her “privileged”.

Meanwhile, several television celebrities including Aly Goni, Abhishek Kumar and Vishal Pandey among others have expressed shock at the incident and demanded strict punishment for the accused.

“This breaks my heart. I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about what her parents must be going through… what she must have gone through… Crying, shouting, feeling helpless. A 31 year old girl, a doctor who wanted to save lives but what about her lives? Uski mehnat, uske sapne, sab khatam. Humanity is dead. We failed… 78 years of independence and women are not safe at her workplace,” Aly wrote on his Instagram handle.

Abhishek Kumar also dropped a video on his Instagram handle seeking justice for the victim. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his post, suggesting that the government must take stern action as soon as possible.
