Ranbir Kapoor, born to Neetu Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor, turned 42 today, September 28. From family to millions of fans, all have been pouring in their best wishes for the actor on his special day. Among them is his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who took to Instagram to share some fond memories with him, marking her “not so chottu” brother’s birthday.
The Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives star shared a video, offering a glimpse at some rare moments of the brother-sister duo with the Kapoor family. The clip begins with their father, Rishi Kapoor, holding both his kids in each of his hands at a Sai Baba temple. This was followed by some goofy pictures of the actor with his niece Samara, wife Alia Bhatt, mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima and her husband Bharat Sahni, along with other members of the Kapoor clan.
The video also included some unseen pictures from Ranbir and Alia’s private wedding ceremony, which took place on April 14, 2022. Sharing this video full of happy moments of their lives, Riddhima wrote, “Happy bday to my not so chottu bro. Love you soooooo much,” with two red heart emojis.
Not long ago, Ranbir opened up about his relationship with his sister. When asked what it was like to grow up with Riddhima on Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, he said, “Sister is two years elder to me. I love her, we shared a room till I was in the seventh grade. I was 13, and she was 15. She used to beat me up because she was bigger than me. She was chubby. But when I grew in size, I used to beat her. But then she left for her further education in London. By the time she came back, I went to New York. By the time I finished and came back, she got married. I missed out on the good years of bonding with her.”
As Ranbir celebrated his 42nd birthday, many of his industry friends visited his house on his birthday eve to celebrate his special day. In several videos on social media, his mother, Neetu Kapoor, and friends Aditya Roy Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Akash Ambani were seen arriving at his home to celebrate the actor’s birthday.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir is currently filming for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana alongside Sai Pallavi. The 42-year-old was last seen in the action thriller Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
