Actress Evelyn Sharma is a mother of two kids. The actress first embraced motherhood in 2021 and welcomed her second child last year in July. Her Instagram feed is full of glimpses of kids and their joyous moments at home. However, in her recent post, the actress made a disheartening revelation about dealing with Perinatal Depression. It involves a feeling of extreme sadness and despair during the postpartum period. She also shared being hospitalised for three weeks during her “darkest days.”

Sharing her journey post-motherhood and how she navigated through the challenges of depression, Evelyn wrote in her post, “There’s never been an easy time to transition into motherhood. The moment of birth is a shock for both baby and mother, full of blissful and terrifying emotions.”

Urging her fans to extend support to new mothers, the actress added, “I would like to share my journey of #PerinatalDepression with you. To create awareness. To encourage you to become the village a mom near you needs.”

Evelyn further highlighted, “I took this selfie on one of my darkest days. I was hospitalised for 3 weeks. I’m now in recovery. Thankfully I was able to get the help I needed.”

The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress, through her post, raised awareness as she advised people to seek help in case of depression or anxiety.

Evelyn Sharma got married to Australian dental surgeon and entrepreneur, Tushaan Bhindi in an intimate ceremony in Brisbane, Australia, in May 2021. The couple welcomed an adorable baby girl in November 2021. Moving forward to 2023, the Yaariyan actress announced her second pregnancy, 14 months after entering the parental bliss with her husband.

Meanwhile, Evelyn’s filmography includes Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). Next, she went on to garner love for her role in Yaariyan (2014), Main Tera Hero (2014), Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), and Saaho (2019). In 2020, she stepped away from acting and moved to Australia to get married in a country-style wedding.
