Divya Wagukar is a well-known face in the Kannada television and film industry. In an exclusive Interview with News 18 Kannada, the actress spoke about her early life and future planning. She is presently busy with the Television serial Gowri Shankara which has gained significant prominence among the audience. Find the interview here:

When asked about her early life and family Divya mentioned that she hails from the city of Belagavi, Karnataka. She said, “My father runs a saree business while my mother is a housewife. While working in the industry, I completed my B.Com. I worked in the serial Marali Manasagide which helped to gain significant fame in the television industry.” The actress played the role of a villain in the serial Geeta.”

In the serial Gowri Shankara, Divya Wagukar plays a thoughtful character who takes care of her family. Divya said that the character of Gauri has many similarities with the type of person she is in her real life. Speaking about the serial she said, “I like everything about the serial, especially the title track. I often listen to the title track in my leisure time. It makes me happy. The serial has now completed 234 episodes. I enjoyed working in the serial.”

Apart from acting in serials, Divya also aspires to act in movies. The actress has already received some offers but she is yet to accept. In the interview, she mentioned that she is looking for good roles and films that will have a good storyline. “I dream of acting in films. But the films should have a good storyline. I don’t need the role of a heroine but the role should be impactful enough. I already got multiple offers but none of them was of my type so I couldn’t accept any of them. Presently, I am paying special attention to learning the Mandya dialect of the Kannada language. This will help to better my performance.”
