Relationships in the modern era are ever-evolving, with new dynamics emerging every day. But amid all these changes, there remains one constant – the desire for ‘meethas’ or sweetness that binds hearts together. This is probably why Colors TV has come up with a brand new show with the tagline Rishton Ka Naya Andaaz, Mithas Ke Sath. The show is named Mishri and the promo was recently launched.
The show stars Shruti Bisht as Mishri, and Namish Taneja as Raghav, the lead couple in the serial. The show portrays the highs and lows of a girl’s journey as she fights her challenging destiny while bringing joy and good fortune to others. Mishri, a beloved resident of Mathura, is cherished by the city and is often invited to every auspicious occasion to spread good luck.
The plot thickens when Mishri’s scheming aunt devises a plan to marry her off to her middle-aged criminal brother, swapping the groom Mishri was originally meant to marry. Just as all hope seems lost, fate intervenes, and in a dramatic twist, Raghav steps in as a saviour and marries Mishri, thwarting the aunt’s wicked scheme. Mishri’s journey of overcoming life’s challenges doesn’t end there. Despite being bound by gratitude and a mangalsutra to Raghav, who is in love with another girl named Vaani, the resolute Mishri is determined not to be a burden. Her loyalty lies with Raghav and his soon-to-be wife Vaani, whom she loves like a sister. How will Mishri navigate this complex dynamic without hurting the two most important people in her life?
Sharing her excitement about playing the role of Mishri, Shruti Bisht said in an interview, “Mishri is truly special to me as it marks my first collaboration with the channel. Despite spreading joy wherever she goes, Mishri’s own life lacks the sweetness she generously gives others. She is on a quest to transform her misfortunes into triumphs, come what may. Even after losing her parents and being treated as unpaid help by her aunt, Mishri refuses to let circumstances break her loving spirit or her dreams of creating a better life. If there’s one thing I hope viewers take away from this show, it is hope.” Mishri will be telecast on Colors TV at 8:30 PM from July 3 onwards.
