The teaser for Chhava, featuring Vicky Kaushal as the brave Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set to drop soon.

The teaser for Chhava, featuring Vicky Kaushal as the brave Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set to release on August 19. The teaser was shown before Stree 2, and it has already sent fans into a frenzy. The first look is a visual feast with intense war scenes, offering a powerful introduction to Vicky as the formidable son of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The actors took to social media to share the title of the film and mentioned that the teaser will officially be out tomorrow.

The teaser, that was attached to Stree 2, features intense war scenes, showcasing Vicky Kaushal in a powerful and commanding role. His portrayal of the Maratha emperor is both regal and convincing. While comparisons to Ranveer Singh’s role in Bajirao Mastani may arise, Vicky’s performance aims to stand out on its own. In Chhava, Vicky Kaushal takes on the challenging role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna stars as his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Set to release on December 6, the film wrapped up filming earlier this year and is already generating a lot of buzz.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, known for his work in films like Mimi (2021) and Luka Chuppi (2019), Chhava marks another collaboration between Utekar and Vicky Kaushal following their recent comedy-romance hit Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023).

Chhava is a historical drama that revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the film, Vicky Kaushal is set to portray the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna takes on the role of Yesubai Bhonsale in the film. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles. According to a report by Pinkvilla, actor Neil Bhoopalam has also been roped in to portray the character of a Mughal prince in the film.
