Bangladesh is in turmoil after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled her country. The nation is currently in chaos due to violence and political instability. The minorities especially Hindus are at the centre of the atrocities by the majorities of the nation. Numerous TV and Bollywood celebs have reacted to the ongoing violence in Bangladesh. In the list of the actors who raised their voices against such atrocities, actress Rashami Desai is the new name in the list. Uttaran fame actress took the stand for a Hindu girl who was allegedly attacked and thrown in the pond.
Rashami Desai shared a video of a Hindu girl who was allegedly attacked by the Muslims of Bangladesh. The screenshot of the story read that a group of Muslims caught a Hindu girl, insulted her and threw her in the pond. Angered by the post, Rashami Desai wrote, “Why humans are trying to become God or a demon? There is a lot to face in life. Karma comes back,” with a heartbreak emoji. The video was posted by a news channel named United India News.
Rashami, who hails from Assam, started her acting career in 2002 with the Assamese film Kanyadaa. She made her Bollywood debut with the romantic mystery Yeh Lamhe Judai Ke alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon in 2004. The 38-year-old actress has also worked in several Bhojpuri films like Kab Hoi Gawna Hamar, Sohagan Bana Da Sajana Hamaar, Nadiya Ke Teer, Gazab Bhail Rama’ and Bhojpuri films like Kangana Khanke Piya Ke Angna.
Rashami Desai made her television debut with the Hindi mythological drama series Raavan in 2006. She played the role of Rani Mandodari. She got her first big break with the serial Pari Hoon Main in 2008. She played a double role in the film.
Rashami Desai was also the winner of the reality show Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and later participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla’, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6, Nach Baliye, Bigg Boss 13 and Bigg Boss 15. She was last seen in the show Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull and the film JNU: Jahangir National University.
