Aditi Rao Hydari recently got engaged to her longtime beau, Siddharth. In a recent interview, the Heeramandi actress talked about the same and shared that she is in the happiest phase of her relationship now. “It’s great and absolutely fantastic. I feel very lucky,” Aditi told news agency ANI as she opened up about her engagement.
Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s love story is not secret. Their romance blossomed during the filming of the 2021 movie Maha Samudram. Since then, they have been together.
In March, reports of Aditi and Siddharth’s secret wedding also made headlines after Great Andhra claimed that the two took wedding vows at the Sri Ranganayakaswamy temple in Srirangapuram, Wanaparthy District, Telangana.
However, Aditi then announced her engagement with Siddharth and revealed that they are not married yet. The actress took to her Instagram handle and dropped a photo with the love of her life. In the picture, they were seen holding each other close as Aditi flaunted a diamond ring. Siddharth also sported a gold band on his ring finger with magenta detailing. Captioning the photo, Aditi wrote, “He said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.”
Recently, Aditi opened up about her engagement and also shared why they decided to make their engagement public. “Jo bhi special hone wala hai, mujhe shuruat ek special jagah se karni thi. Woh meri family ka ek temple hai, which is 400 years old, I wanted to go there and do puja. There, I had a little engagement. (Whenever something special happens in her family, we visit our 400-year-old temple to seek blessings. So, for engagement, we also went there),” she told Bollywood Bubble.
The actress further revealed that she confirmed her relationship with Siddharth officially because her mother was getting multiple calls regarding their wedding rumours. “We shared this image on social media to clarify all the rumours that were doing the rounds at that time. My mother asked me to clarify things as she was getting back-to-back calls regarding the same,” she added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aditi is currently enjoying the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The show also stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Farida Jalal, Fardeen Khan, Jason Shah, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman in key roles. It explores the various aspects of a woman’s trials and tribulations and is currently streaming on Netflix.
