Kannada star Dhruva Sarja might be just a few films old in the industry but he has already earned the moniker ‘Action Prince’ for his action-oriented roles. Belonging to the Sarja family of South Indian cinema, his late elder brother Chiranjeevi Sarja was an actor as was his uncle Arjun Sarja.
His upcoming film Martin is hogging all the limelight in the Kannada industry at present and the team is busy promoting the film, which will be released on October 11. Dhruva Sarja celebrated his 36th birthday on October 6. The actor generally stays in Bangalore to celebrate his birthday every year, but this year, he was touring the state of Karnataka to promote Martin on his birthday.
Dhruva Sarja made his debut in 2012 with the film Addhuri, a romantic drama helmed by AP Arjun, who has also directed Martin. Addhuri was a major success and was the perfect launchpad for Dhruva. The actor’s films have gained notoriety for taking a lot of time to release, which started with his debut film itself. The trend continued with Bahaddur, Bharjari and Pogaru, all of which took a lot of time in post-production and were released much later than initially scheduled.
Dhurva Sarja’s filmography is pretty short, and he has appeared in only 5 films in the 12 years of his career. Two more films are yet to be released, one of which is Martin and the other one is KD-The Devil, directed by Prem. Dhruva Sarja is emerging as a pan-India star with his much-anticipated film Martin.
Martin, set to release in 13 languages, including English, showcases Dhurva Sarja’s growing popularity beyond regional cinema.
