Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, has once again been winning the hearts on the internet for being “humble” and “down-to-earth”. The star kid was spotted taking an auto ride in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. He greeted the paparazzi with a big smile. Netizens were impressed by Junaid’s humility and pointed out how he believes in living a simple life despite his father being a superstar in Hindi film industry with reported net worth of Rs 1,862 crore.
Junaid opted for a very casual look for the outing. He donned a half-sleeves black t-shirt and blue jeans. In a video, shared by Bollywood paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Instagram, he seemed visibly shy when paps tried to click his pics. One user commented, “Good boy.” Another one said, “Genuine here!”
Junaid has been prepping for his acting debut for a while now. He is often spotted in public along with his father and sister, Ira Khan. A few weeks ago, he was spotted outside Mumbai’s renowned Prithvi theatre in Juhu area. However, what grabbed everyone’s attention was that Junaid was wearing heavy eye makeup and even had a black teeka on his forehead. It seemed he was rehearsing for some play.
“Abhi bhi makeup mein hu bhai log,” Junaid sweetly told the paparazzi who were clicking his photos. He then posed for the photographers, before telling them, “I’m going to remove it now.”
Junaid will make his acting debut with the Netflix film ‘Maharaja’. Last month, Netflix released a video featuring glimpses of three films, including Junaid’s debut, Vijay 69 and Mandala Murders. While the video revealed the characters’ faces in the latter two films, Junaid’s look in Maharaj remained a mystery, hinting at the film’s grand scale.
Maharaj, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh and Shalini Pandey in pivotal roles, is said to be inspired by the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. It revolves around a religious leader who sued a newspaper for alleging inappropriate relationships with his female followers. Junaid reportedly portrays a journalist in the movie. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Shalini had opened up on her experience of working with Junaid. She had said, “Junaid is a very easy breezy human being. He’s a good co-actor to work with. I had a lot of fun working with him. We’re in the same age group, so we had a blast during the shoot. Maharaj is one of his first few projects and so is mine. That’s why we had a very similar energy on set.”
