Eggs are a good source of protein and contain many nutrients that can help with overall health. It has all the essential amino acids which help in repairing the muscle and tissue. Eggs also keep the immune system healthy. Eating eggs daily provides essential nutrients to our body and increases bone strength. These are rich in the protein riboflavin, folate, iron, phosphorus, selenium, magnesium, vitamins A, E and B6, vitamin D and calcium. There are various dishes which can be prepared with eggs. Egg 65 is one of them.
Egg 65 is a favourite street food choice for most South Indian foodies. It originated in Tamil Nadu but has now travelled to other regions, becoming one of the most consumed street foods in the south. The Hyderabadis have almost adopted it as their native dish.
Let us take a look at the recipe for this dish. For this, firstly you need to arrange a few ingredients which include:
Eggs – As per your need
Maida flour – 2 tbsp
Corn flour – 4 tbsp
Chili powder – 4 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Oil – as required
Salt – as per taste
First, boil the eggs properly in the water. After boiling, remove the shell with soft hands. Try to be gentle with the egg, as it can sometimes break during the process of removing the shell. Add maida flour, corn flour, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and salt as needed in a bowl.
Next mix water. Gradually increase its quantity so that you can mix it well to make a paste. Now, chop the boiled egg into small pieces and mix it with the flour. Now put the batter and stir it well so that masalas are added equally on each side.
Now, after preparing the eggs with the coating of the paste, put a pan on the stove and pour oil. Fry for three minutes on medium flame. Once the egg 65 is fried well, take it out of the oil, transfer it to a plate and serve it with green chutney.
