The anticipation around the second season of Netflix’s wildly popular series, Squid Game, continues to build as the excitement also remains at its peak. Days after makers announced the release date for the show, a short teaser was dropped, confirming the return of Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), the sole survivor and winner in the previous part. The 30-second teaser also teases the arrival of a new lot of participants, vying for the humongous prize money.
On Monday, August 12, Netflix revealed the ‘Welcome Players’ teaser and introduced the player numbers. It opens to show the players with their backs turned towards the camera, dressed in the same green jacket. As the numbers increase, reaching up to 456, one can see Gi-hun back as a player, but with other plans in mind. “The Real Game Begins” is the message that the show delivers.

What To Expect In Squid Game 2?
The second season is expected to pick up after the events of the first part when Gi-hun won. Instead of taking the cash money and going to the States, he decides to stay in Korea and return to the game. The Season 1 climax shows him receiving another invitation to dive into the mysterious survival game, which he strategically accepts with a new resolution in mind.

Netflix recently announced the second and third seasons of Squid Game. While the second part will come out in December this year, the final one is slated to release in 2025. In a letter to all fans, director Hwang Dong Hyuk said, “Seong Gi-hun, who vowed revenge at the end of Season 1, returns and joins the game again. Will he succeed in getting his revenge? Front Man doesn’t seem to be an easy opponent this time either. The fierce clash between their two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3.”
