BLACKPINK has hit yet another significant milestone with their music video for Pink Venom. As of October 14, at approximately 11:27 pm, the video for Pink Venom, which was a pre-release track from their second studio album Born Pink (released in 2022), crossed 900 million views on YouTube. This makes it the eighth group music video by BLACKPINK to surpass this view count, following hits like DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kill This Love, BOOMBAYAH, As If It’s Your Last, How You Like That, Ice Cream, and WHISTLE.

According to YG Entertainment, the music video achieved this milestone on YouTube on Friday.

According to The Korea Times, the group had set a world record for female artists when the video gained 90.4 million views in just the first 24 hours after its release. BLACKPINK also became the fastest K-pop girl group to surpass 100 million views, accomplishing this feat in just 29 hours and 35 minutes after its release. In less than eight days, the video surpassed 200 million views.

The song also reached No. 22 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.

In terms of YouTube presence, BLACKPINK holds the title for having the most subscribers among pop artists globally, with over 94.9 million. They have 47 videos that have amassed more than 100 million views.

Upon its release, it also became the first K-pop song to top Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Chart. At last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, BLACKPINK received the Best Choreography award, making them the first Asian girl group to do so. They were also named Group of the Year at the same event, reports The Korea Times.

The music video for Pink Venom originally dropped on August 19, 2022, at 9:30 am, meaning it took two years, one month, and 25 days to reach this impressive milestone.
